PBIS Implementation
All students will be assumed to have earned their full points for each period unless the student or teacher feels they did not meet expectations. Any point adjustments will be done privately with the teacher.
- Step 1 - 3 will have the student move away from the learning environment in the classroom, still being able to view and participate individually in the lesson. Students may be asked to complete a reflection sheet prior to rejoining the whole group.
- Step 4 may take place virtually, over the phone, or in person.
- Any concern between students will be handled privately with the teacher
In addition to the updates to the Make Your Day program, WFES is excited to announce we will begin developing the blueprint/plan to transition from the Make Your Day program to the implementation of PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports). Our staff will be working on the implementation of PBIS starting in the fall. This change will help WFES align our school program with the new PV Schools Strategic Plan as well as bring in a proven system of behavior interventions and supports for our students.
As we work towards the implementation of PBIS at Wildfire, updates and information will continually be shared with our communities.
